What we collect

FocusRoom is a static website. The toy itself runs in your browser and we do not operate accounts or a database of user content. If analytics are enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (pages visited, device type, approximate region). Your theme preference is stored only in your browser's local storage.

Your focus data

Your timer settings, sound-mix volumes and focus statistics (sessions completed, focus minutes and your day streak) are stored only in your browser's local storage, on your own device. They are never sent to our servers — there is no account and no sync. Share links encode your timer settings and mix in the URL itself, so a link only ever contains what you choose to copy and send. Clearing your browser data deletes all of this.

Advertising

We may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your Google Ads Settings. Until advertising is enabled, the ad slots on this site show house banners promoting our own sites and set no ad cookies.

Cookies

Essential cookies/local storage are used only for preferences (e.g. dark mode). Analytics and advertising cookies are set only by the third parties named above, under their own privacy policies.

Third parties and opting out

Advertising and analytics on this site are provided by Google. Google's use of data is described in "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" and the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and you can block or delete cookies — including third-party cookies — in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work, though preferences such as dark mode may reset.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@focus.toolmelon.com and we will delete it.

Data retention

Aggregated analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics data-retention setting and is not used to identify individuals. Data stored in your browser's local storage stays on your device until you clear it or your browser removes it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Material changes will be noted in a summary at the top of this page.
